Saint Joseph’s Cultural Center

The mission of the Saint Joseph’s Cultural Center is two-fold – first to preserve and maintain the structural integrity of this beautiful historical landmark which was built by the Sisters of Mercy in the 1860’s (this encompasses the Orphanage building, St. Joseph’s Chapel and the historic rose garden). And second, to provide space/access that promotes arts and education in our community.

Thanks to donations from our community in the early part of 2019, we were able to:

  • replace the garden fountain which had been destroyed by vandals
  • repair and reinforce the railings on the front section of the 2nd level deck
  • replace the 3rd floor deck which had been inaccessible for over a decade
  • repair leaks around the chimney & vent pipes on the roof of the Convent

This year, your generous donation of:
$50 will help maintain the beauty of the Rose Garden
