Nevada County Community Leadership Institute

This program provides an intensive series of one day workshops covering a diverse set of issues and institutions that are a part of the Nevada County community.  Click HERE to read the brochure and learn more.

The benefits of participating include;

  • the opportunity for in-depth presentations from leaders in a variety of sectors in Nevada County,
  • opportunities to develop collaborative relationships with other leaders participating in the class,
  • and leveraging what you learn and the relationships you develop into having a greater impact in your work and community life

Each session is designed to provide opportunities to collaborate & connect with each other while growing awareness & knowledge of issues & sectors in our community.

SESSION DATES:

The First two sessions are mandatory – you can miss 2 of the remaining 8 and graduate.

  • Friday, September 22nd– Community Leadership & Opening Session 8:00 to 5:00
  • Saturday, September 23rd – 9:00 to 5:00 – Local Media
  • Friday, October 27th : Health & Human Services – 8:00 to 5:00
  • Friday, November 17th: Local Government – 8:00 to 5:00
  • Friday: January 26th Economic Development – 8:00 to 5:00
  • Friday February 23rd: Land Use & Environment – 8:00 to 5:00
  • Friday, March 22nd:  Arts & Culture – 8:00 to 5:00
  • Friday April 26th:  Education – 8:00 to 5:00
  • Friday, May 17th:  Criminal Justice – 8:00 to 5:00
  • Friday, June 21st Graduation:  8:00 to 2:00
