Nev Co Relief

CNL is a proud partner in the newly formed Nevada County Relief Fund.

Nevada County steps up to support our most vulnerable neighbors and small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Faced with unprecedented hardships, the newly formed “Nevada County Relief Fund” and the “Tahoe Truckee Emergency Response Fund” are coordinating a countywide philanthropic response. The shared goal is to direct vital resources to our most vulnerable neighbors served by nonprofit organizations as well as small businesses vital to our quality of life who were forced to close their doors due to the shelter-in-place orders.

Please visit NevCoRelief.org for more information and check out the initial press release.

AS OF MAY 13 – The Fund is actively seeking applications.

Nonprofits can apply for funding in one of two ways: Through the Nonprofit Grant Program which is focusing on those delivering Nonprofit Safety-Net Services, or via the Small Business Micro-grants – these grants are applicable to nonprofit organizations/businesses that may be struggling but are not providers of safety-net services.

The Small Business grants are up to $5,000 and are for both small business and nonprofits countywide.

Nonprofit Safety-Net Services grants are up to $20,000, and are for nonprofits serving western Nevada County (The Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation is working with eastern County organizations).

Be sure to review the criteria and ascertain if your organization is eligible.

Applications for the first funding cycle are due May 19th with the hope to announce the awardees by May 29th. The Fund will continue fundraising and start additional funding cycles each time another $100,000 is reached.
