Digging deeper into our theme of professional learning, we’ve shared that CNL provides education in many forms. Do you know the difference between a Workshop and an Info Session? Based on feedback from our members, we discovered that you want opportunities for in-depth, interactive, how-to training. This is what our Workshops attempt to deliver. They are generally focused on a single topic led by a facilitator, and allow participants to delve more deeply and broadly into the subject matter at hand. The goal is for participants to leave with concrete knowledge and know-how to implement what they have learned.
Alternately, we often find that there are important trends, changes to regulations and policies of which nonprofits need to be kept up-to-date. Or we conclude that there is a specific portion of a larger topic that warrants addressing and can be delivered in a shorter, factual format. Those trainings are the purpose of our Info Sessions.
