Mission:
Color Me Human serves as a resource for Nevada County and beyond for diversity, equity and inclusion – we educate, advocate and support all groups in the quest for a harmonious world.
Purpose:
To be present in this time and place, to serve as a beacon of social justice and cultural equity.
Success Story:
We hold yearly events, particularly on MLK Day and Juneteenth, giving voice to those who perhaps had not been heard in the past. We serve as thought leaders in the areas of social justice and cultural equity, often writing pieces for The Union and speaking at events. We represent the BIPOC community on the Equity and Inclusion Leadership Alliance.
