Development Manager
The Development Manager is responsible for the strategic development and execution of a comprehensive fund development program that secures the resources needed to sustain and grow the entire scope of BYLT’s work in the Bear and Yuba River Watersheds in the Sierra Nevada.
They will strategically lead the planning and implementation of all fundraising activities, including major donor cultivation and solicitation, planned giving activities, direct mail, membership program, and capital campaigns.

Benefits include: Generous vacation and personal leave, 403b plan with employer matching up to 2% after one year, and 15 paid holidays per year (dependent on scheduled workdays). Sierra Streams Institute

Sierra Streams Institute is a watershed monitoring, research, restoration and educational group based in Nevada City, California in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Our mission is to promote scientific knowledge and stewardship of Sierra Nevada watersheds through research, restoration, education, and community science.
Development Director
The SSI Development Director provides an essential bridge between mission-driven donors and community science, serving as the lead strategist for developing new revenue sources from both large donors and small donor strategies such as membership programs and community events. We seek someone with a proven track record in donor stewardship and development, as well as utilization of new strategies to generate both financial and emotional investment in our mission. The ideal candidate has experience in donor outreach and stewardship, development of on-going relationships with investment and granting foundations, and generation of new and lasting income sources. Donor database or CRM familiarity is a plus but not required. Further, the ideal candidate has a history (ideally 4+ years) of working in the nonprofit realm, building lasting partnerships to increase scale and scope of fundraising outcomes.
This position reports to the Executive Director and will be open until filled, applications reviewed as received.
Full-time (35-40 hours/week, flexible schedule) at a $78,000-$80,000 annual salary, DOE

The Community of Writers serves as a literary center for the crafts of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, and seeks to assist talented writers with diverse cultural perspectives to find their voice, deepen their artistry, and achieve their goals.
Operations Manager
The Community of Writers seeks applicants for an Operations Manager. This is a part-time, but high-level position with primary responsibility for the coordination of C.W.’s core systems, including financial transaction processing, financial budgets and reporting, human resources, nonprofit compliance, information technology, fundraising strategies, and program support. The operations manager will manage the day-to-day finances, assist the ED with financial reports, manage human resources, information technology, programs, fundraising, and help produce in person and virtual programming, to ensure our nonprofit business runs efficiently. Local candidates will have preference.
Part time (32-hour work week (plus 40-hour work week during the summer workshops in Olympic Valley). Compensation at $28 – $30 per hour dependent on experience.
