Mission & Purpose:
Hospice of the Foothills provides compassionate end-of-life support for patients, families and the community.
Patients and their families are at the center of the care we provide. The philosophy of hospice is to recognize that quality of life, peace, and comfort at the end of life should be the focus when curing a patient’s disease is no longer possible. We assist dying patients and their families to attain a quality of life which allows them to live to the fullest and to prepare them mentally and spiritually for their end-of-life journey.
We are committed to the promotion of comfort and to the relief of pain and other distressing symptoms. We promote an environment of mutual trust, respect, support, and skill to enable the patient to receive care where ever they reside.
Success Story:
Hospice of the Foothills has provided end-of-life care in our community since 1979, serving more than 500 patients and families annually. While there are other hospice providers in our area, Hospice of the Foothills is the only nonprofit, community-owned hospice (not a franchise operation). All support services for patients and families are offered locally.
We are dedicated to providing the highest quality care, and our efforts have been recognized through accreditation by the Joint Commission (achieving a “deemed status” level of expertise). Hospice of the Foothills has been ranked as one of the top 25% of hospices nationwide and received a 98.5% ranking through Medicare’s hospicecompare.org by families of the patients of the patients we serve.
How CNL has helped our organization:
CNL has provided valuable educational programs, facilities networking opportunities with other nonprofits, circulates postings of available leadership positions and has been a reliable “go-to” resource for Hospice of the Foothills.
How to get involved:
Hospice of the Foothills also offers a variety of services provided by trained community volunteers. Volunteer training is offered twice annually for those interested in becoming involved. Please contact us at the website or by email, addresses above.
