Mission & Purpose: We are a policy and trade association whose mission is to advocate, educate, and connect our membership with one another and the larger cannabis community. The purpose of the Nevada County Cannabis Alliance (NCCA) is to cultivate a thriving cannabis community and industry in Nevada County. NCCA advocates for reasonable local policies and a fair county ordinance. We believe in empowering community success through education and connecting stakeholders with opportunities to participate and collaborate with one another.
Success Story: We are a member-based organization representing craft cannabis cultivators, business owners and patients. Our members play a vital role in the transformation of our county and represent an important part of the cultural, social and economic fabric of the community. The Alliance builds bridges so that responsible members of the cannabis industry can fully and legitimately participate in the county’s political and economic life.
Part of the mission of the NCCA is to build bridges that help strengthen our community at large. The most important tool that we have in that effort is to volunteer our time and efforts to worthy causes in Nevada County. We want to extend a hand anywhere one is needed. Our Community Outreach program has been building relationships with other nonprofit organizations in the area that are in constant need of help. We would like to connect our volunteers to worthy causes. In the past three years, we have loaded firewood for seniors, participated in the Nevada County spring cleaning and have the largest group of volunteers for SYRCL’s annual Yuba River Clean up.
How CNL membership benefits NCCA: CNL helps us meet other nonprofits. We encourage organizations to get in touch with us so we can provide them with a pool of volunteers or for individual persons to contact us so that we can link them to a worthy cause of their liking.
How to get involved: It is not necessary to be a cannabis farmer to foster a strong sense of community and support a thriving cannabis industry in Nevada County. Membership in NCCA helps to support the work of the Alliance, maintain a consistent voice and representation with city and county officials, advocate for reasonable regulations and foster a safe and vibrant cannabis industry. Your membership in NCCA supports continued community education, events and much more. It takes a village to make change and the Alliance couldn’t do what it does without your support.
