Mission & Purpose: KVMR provides community members opportunities to connect through the development and production of music, news and public affairs programs that entertain, inform, and educate.
Success Story:
KVMR:
-Plays the Music of the World and is the Voice of the Community. Volunteer broadcasters are live in the studio twenty-four hours a day, seven day a week, 365 days a year.
-Is the official Emergency Broadcast system for Nevada County
-Brings coverage of important news events to the Community
-Hosts Town Hall Forums on important issues
-Broadcasts live events remotely
-Collaborates with other local nonprofits. In 2018, KVMR raised more than $45,000 in one for the Paradise Campfire Survivors
-Hosts intimate House Concerts
