Anyone who lives in or visits Nevada County knows it’s a special place; and it’s not just the beautiful scenery and iconic history. Our community is rich with nonprofit organizations that enhance our lives every day with essential community services that help people to connect, grow and thrive. These organizations are threads in the fabric that make Nevada County so special.
#GivingTuesday proves that the holidays can be about both giving and giving back. The retail industry has long benefited from seasonal shopping that symbolically kicks off with Black Friday – a day that has since inspired Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.
#GivingTuesday – the Tuesday after the Thanksgiving weekend – serves as a celebratory, fully connected day to kick off the giving season, when many make their holiday and end-of-year charitable gifts.
The nonprofit organizations in our community are dedicated and passionate about the services they provide. These organizations work year around to help those most in need and in doing so, strengthen our community and society.
