December 2, 2014 Marks the Third Annual #GivingTuesday
#GivingTuesday proves that the holidays can be about both giving and giving back.
The retail industry has long benefited from seasonal shopping that symbolically kicks off with Black Friday – a day that has since inspired Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.
#GivingTuesday – the Tuesday after the Thanksgiving weekend – serves as a celebratory, fully connected day to kick off the giving season, when many make their holiday and end-of-year charitable gifts.
It celebrates how Americans can do more with their wallets than just shop – and that we can give as good as we get.
This year, CNL is stepping up its presence and that of our members by creating what we hope to be an annual #GivingTuesday tradition for Nevada County – The Nonprofit Wish List!
This Wish List will appear in The Union on #GivingTuesday, December 2, and will highlight our CNL Member Organizations and their specific needs.
