Virtual Workshop: Advanced Board Series, Part 3: Fundraising Strategies for Advancing Your Organization to the Next Level

Monday, November 15th, 2021
4:00pm – 6:00pm
Presenter: Dawn Moore of Moore Development Strategies
Via Zoom

Cost: Members – $45 per person
Not-yet-Members – $60 per person

The final session in this three-part series is designed for board members, executive directors, and lead development staff who are interested in exploring ways to take fundraising efforts to the next level.

Although session content is intended for those with fundraising knowledge, topics covered will contain some review of fund development essentials. Believing that everyone brings something to the table, this two-hour interactive session will delve into the many myths of fundraising and ways to overcome the path of least resistance. Participants are encouraged to come prepared with their personal observations, successes and challenges related to their role in the fund development process.

Topics will include: types of funding sources, the donor pipeline and retention, donor giving trends, considerations for improving and deepening donor relations, planned giving strategies and individual roles in the fundraising cycle. Participants will have an opportunity to reflect on their why and create a “so what” or “next steps” action plan. Session content will be wrapped-up in a competitive team trivia that you won’t want to miss!

Session Objectives:

  • Rediscover the joy of fundraising
  • Identify the power of a segmented donor base
  • Believe in the value of stewardship (one size does not fit all donors)
  • Create a realistic next step
  • Commit to execution
